Membership Protection
Surf Life Saving Northern Territory is committed to the health, safety and well-being of all its members and is dedicated to providing a safe environment for participating in surf lifesaving activities.
The SLSA Membership Protection Policy adopted in August 2002 conveys a message to all members responsible for surf lifesaving activities, particularly those involving members 18 years old and under, about risk management of those members
The Member Screening Policy relates to the screening of members who are involved in contact with members who are 18 years of age and under. Screening is to ensure that those people who may pose a risk to members 18 years old and under are not employed in a paid or voluntary capacity in positions where children and young people may be placed at risk.
