Lifeguard services
The Australian Lifeguard Service is a major arm of Surf Life Saving Australia, providing professional contract lifeguard services to coastal land managers nationwide. They currently have contracts with 65 local councils, resort managers and national parks across the country, patrolling 172 beaches.

Helicopter services
The Lifesaver Helicopter service has been operating since the 1970s on surf patrol. It now spans the eastern and southern coastal areas of Australia, with specially trained doctors and paramedics, experienced pilots and volunteer and professional lifesavers acting as crew. The service operates 24 hours a day and is available to respond to requests from any emergency service at short notice. An extremely versatile and effective rescue service.
