The Hobart Showground Sunday Market is a truly community event, where locals trade in a dynamic environment of colour and excitement with goods for sale at great value prices.
It’s an eclectic mix of established and casual Stallholders offering everything from great gift ideas, new products to Tasmania, garden products and supplies, fresh seasonal produce, lifestyle accessories and live entertainment.

Avoid the hustle and bustle of the supermarkets and visit the market for the freshest of vegies and seasonal fruits. Pick up some great bargains in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
This is where you rub shoulders with the locals at the Hobart Showground for Tasmania’s best loved market. With the resources of the Hobart Showground at our disposal, parking space is never a problem.
The Hobart Showground is a fusion of activities where you; meet Motor Home travelers from all over, see a Dog Show or Equestrian event, take in one of the regular wood chopping events, visit a poultry exhibition or cat show, see the developing home of the world sport in southern Tasmania, take in one of the collectables auctions or wholesale sales on site, visit the Topform Warehouse Outlet, or use the facilities for a birthday party, corporate event, exhibition or even a wedding.
So make a day of it, pick up a bite to eat, bring the family or escape for the day. However you do it, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the variety and bargains you’ll find.

Location and Parking
Hobart Showground Sunday Market is located at the Royal Hobart Showground, 2 Howard Road, Glenorchy.
It's easy to get there: 10 minutes north of Hobart on the Brooker Highway by car, or take a Glenorchy Bus from Hobart city to Bus Stop 23, cross the railway lines and enter off Howard Road.

Closed during the October Royal Hobart Show.

You will always find something different going on at the Hobart Showground with the area being used daily by associated interest groups who just love their dogs, chooks, cats, or traveling life, or being part of the Market every Sunday.

Access for all Abilities
Whether you are a first time or frequent visitor a stallholder with accessibility needs, accessing our Market should be easy for you to find your way around visiting our Stallholders or uses our facilities. The Market venue is relatively flat, with an ongoing improvement program to make this the most accessible Market in Tasmania.
You will find various access parking positions within our Howard Road entrance controlled parking area. Access toilet facilities are available. See Market Layout.
